Job Description & Core Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Painting Technician, you will be entrusted with surface preparation, coating application, painting, and finishing duties to preserve structural integrity, enhance aerodynamics, and maintain impeccable aircraft appearance.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
* Executing painting procedures strictly in line with approved maintenance manuals, manufacturer guidelines, and rigorous aviation safety regulations.
* Performing meticulous surface cleaning, sanding, masking, chemical paint stripping, and applying primers, basecoats, and topcoats.
* Managing color-matching processes, controlling coating thickness, and conducting thorough inspections to identify and rectify paint defects.
* Operating specialized painting hardware, such as High-Volume Low-Pressure (HVLP) spray systems and electrostatic application tools.
* Performing touch-ups and corrective finishing while safely handling hazardous substances, chemicals, and specialized tools.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and upholding strict housekeeping standards in the working environment.
Professional Qualifications & Requirements
